How Do You Assign Access Codes In Your EPIC Account?
Your EPIC Account is secured by a UserID and password. As the EPIC Administrator you'll sign into EPIC to assign a profile to a respondent.
The assignment process requires the entry of an email address and name for each respondent.
EPIC Account Login Screen
Your EPIC Account generates and sends an email note to the respondent that contains a personalized access code and an embedded website link which allows access to the selected profile's online response form.
The email sent by your EPIC Account will come from UserID@inscape-epic.com where UserID is the name entered by you, the EPIC Administrator in your EPIC Account.
Email blockers, spam filters, junk mail filters, or other blocking technology must allow email from inscape-epic.com to be received by the individual.
EPIC Account System Requirements
The EPIC system requires standard email facilities, access to an external website, Adobe Reader 4.0 (or higher), and cookies enabled for proper functionality. In addition, pop-up windows need to be allowed to utilize all of the features of EPIC.
Access to an External Website Access to www.inscape-epic.com must be allowed for successful completion of DiSC and other Inscape Publishing EPIC profiles. If access to an external website cannot be established, EPIC can't be used for completing Inscape profiles.
Some email systems, such as AOL, don't allow direct access to the EPIC website using an embedded access code. If a respondent has trouble clicking on the link with the embedded access code, the EPIC site may be accessed by entering www.inscape-epic.com and manually keying the 10 digit personalized EPIC access code displayed in the email note.
Adobe Reader When you assign an access code in EPIC, you have the option of making the report generated by EPIC available immediately to respondents upon completion. EPIC requires that Adobe Reader 4.0 or higher be loaded on the PC to display the personalized report. If you decide to withhold the report and present it at a later time, Adobe Reader isn't required on the respondent's PC.
Cookies A cookie is a file created by an Internet site to store information on your computer. EPIC uses cookies to temporarily store the access code so the responses entered by the respondent are stored properly in the EPIC database. This cookie is temporary and will expire 24 hours from the time it was written to the computer. If cookies aren't enabled for www.inscape-epic.com the profile cannot be completed.
Blocking Pop-up Windows If the Internet browser or an external program is blocking pop-up windows, some elements of the EPIC website will not function properly. For example, definitions of words used in the DiSC family of profiles will not be displayed if pop-ups are blocked.
In addition, you may not be able to view the output report if pop-ups are blocked.
Can I Buy Individual EPIC Reports Without an EPIC Account?
Yes. If you do not need to run EPIC reports on a regular basis, you may simply purchase individual Inscape Publishing learning assessments from Resources Unlimited.
